MEET ALEXANDRU

Born on January 23, 2010, Alexandru Iovan is one of Romania’s most exciting young football prospects. Gifted with natural athleticism and a sharp footballing mind, he combines a powerful left foot with excellent technical ability and intelligent movement off the ball. At 1.82 meters tall, he brings both physical presence and agility to the front line. Currently playing as a striker for Universitatea Craiova U17, Alexandru has already shown his versatility by performing effectively across the front three — whether leading the line or operating as a left or right winger.

Behind every goal and assist is a relentless work ethic. Alexandru’s rise through the youth ranks has been fueled by consistent performance, discipline, and his willingness to improve. From scoring early in a commanding 9–0 win at the U15 level to delivering in high-pressure matches like the Liga Elitelor bronze medal game, he has earned the trust of his coaches through commitment and consistency. Now competing at U17 level and regularly contributing with goals and assists, Alexandru’s progression reflects the hours of focused training and his deep understanding of the game.

 

VISION.

Alexandru isn’t just playing the game — he’s building a future in it. As a regular selection for the Romania U15 national team, he has already represented his country in major international youth tournaments, including the Torneo delle Nazioni and Vlatko Marković Cup. His international debut was marked by a stunning free-kick goal, a glimpse of the calm, decisive player he’s becoming. With a strong foundation, a growing reputation, and a professional mindset beyond his years, Alexandru Iovan represents not just the next generation of Romanian football — but its future.
